Big Changes for 2026
Ovens Pumpkin Patch in Cork is getting even bigger for 2026. Visitors can now explore our live pumpkin vines, see pumpkins growing in the field and choose their own (Note vines have a dieback from Mid October so wont be so green and lush, pumpkins will be Curated). We’re also adding pumpkin bowling and more free family activities, alongside photo spots, hot drinks, sweet treats and plenty of autumn fun across the farm.

We’re a small, family-run farm. We manage our fields with Shropshire sheep instead of herbicides, mow between pumpkin vines, keep things simple, and focus on a tidy, well-run day out.

What To Expect At Our Pumpkin Farm In Cork?
Midweek at the Farm
During the week, the pumpkin patch is closed to visitors.
We may host school trips, private group events, or photography sessions by advance booking.
This quiet time lets us care for pumpkins, prepare displays, and tend our Christmas tree plantation so you have the best pumpkin patch experience possible.

When does Ovens Pumpkin Patch open?
We open on October weekends only, with sessions scheduled between 10am and 3pm. The farm closes at 4pm.
Do tickets include a pumpkin?
Admission with a medium pumpkin is €16.50 including booking fee and taxes. Admission only, without a pumpkin, is €11.50 including booking fee and taxes.
Are children under two charged?
Children under two are free. You must add an under-two ticket as an add-on during booking.
Can children pick their own pumpkins?
Yes, children can pick pumpkins of different sizes. Families can also buy extras for pumpkin carving at home.
Can additional pumpkins be purchased?
Yes, extra pumpkins can be added as an option when booking or purchased on-site during your visit.
How long does a visit last?
Visits usually last around one hour, giving families time to pick pumpkins, take photos, and enjoy refreshments.
What happens in poor weather?
The event goes ahead in all weather conditions. We recommend visitors bring wellies and rain gear.
Are toilet facilities available?
Yes, we have a portaloo toilet. Please plan your trip with this in mind before arriving, and there are no baby changing facilities.
Do we offer refunds on tickets?
Tickets are non-refundable. If a Red Weather Warning is issued, we will cancel the event and contact all ticket holders to reschedule.

We are located just outside the west end of Ballincollig at Cork Christmas Tree Farm, Curraghbeg, Ovens, P31 VR99. Aprox 15 minutes from Cork City.
